If you are enquiring or engaging on behalf of another person (for example, a family member or dependant), you confirm that you are authorised to act on their behalf and to provide their personal information to us for the purposes of the engagement.

3. Services
Amanah Veteran provides advisory services to retired members of the Malaysian armed forces, police, and civil security agencies, and to their families. Our current service offerings are:
- Veteran & Retired Officer Pension Advisory (MYR 730) — specialist advisory covering LTAT matters, pension calculation reviews, and entitlement consultations over three meetings with a written advisory file.
- Pension Calculation & Arrears Recovery (MYR 1,090) — a review of pension calculations for errors or shortfalls, including a formal recovery claim where warranted, typically running two to five months.
- Family Pension Continuation Counsel (MYR 1,480) — guidance for spouses and dependants seeking continuation of pension benefits following the death of the principal beneficiary.
Service descriptions on the Website are provided for informational purposes. The specific scope of each engagement will be confirmed in a written engagement letter prior to work commencing. We reserve the right to decline an engagement if a matter falls outside our area of practice.
Our Services are available to clients located in Malaysia. We do not represent or advise clients in other jurisdictions.
4. Engagement and Fees
Commencing an Engagement
An engagement formally begins when both parties have agreed on the scope of work, you have received and accepted our engagement letter, and the required fee has been received by us.
Fees and Payment
Fees are as stated on our Website and confirmed in the engagement letter. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or such other means as agreed at the time of engagement.
Refunds
If an engagement has not yet commenced and you wish to withdraw, we will return your payment in full within ten working days. Once work has begun, fees are not refundable except in cases of our material breach of the engagement terms. We approach these situations with fairness and will discuss any concerns with you directly.
Outcome of Engagements
Our fees cover the professional time, research, and documentation involved in the advisory process. The outcome of pension claims or recovery matters is determined by the relevant authorities and is not within our control. We do not link our fees to the outcome of any claim.
5. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to serve you well, you agree to:
- Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information about your service history, pension arrangements, and personal circumstances
- Notify us promptly if any information you have provided changes during the engagement
- Respond to reasonable requests from us in a timely manner to avoid unnecessary delays
- Attend scheduled meetings or notify us in advance if you are unable to do so
- Not share, copy, or distribute advisory files or recommendations prepared for you without our prior written consent
- Refrain from using our Website in any manner that may harm its integrity, security, or operation
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an engagement if a client provides materially false information or acts in a manner that is obstructive or harmful to the conduct of the advisory work.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all information shared with us in the course of an engagement as confidential. We will not disclose client information to third parties other than as described in our Privacy Policy or as required to carry out the engagement (for example, liaising with pension authorities on your behalf with your explicit instruction).
Advisory files and written recommendations produced for you are for your personal use only. They should not be represented as legal documents or submitted as such to any court or tribunal without independent legal advice.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, layout, design elements, the Amanah Veteran name and mark — is the property of Amanah Veteran and is protected under applicable Malaysian intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial reference only.
Advisory files and documents produced for a client during an engagement are provided for the personal use of that client. Amanah Veteran retains the underlying methodology and templates used in their preparation.
You must not reproduce, republish, adapt, or commercially exploit any content from this Website or from advisory materials without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The information on this Website is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. It reflects our understanding of pension regulations and procedures at the time of writing; regulations change, and we recommend seeking current advice for your specific circumstances.
Our advisory services are provided with care and professional judgement. We do not warrant any particular outcome from pension claims, appeals, or recovery processes, as these are determined by the relevant government authorities acting under their own discretion and applicable law.
The Website is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be free from errors, interruptions, or technical issues at all times.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Amanah Veteran's liability to any client arising out of or in connection with an engagement shall not exceed the total fees paid by that client for the relevant engagement.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss arising from your use of this Website or our Services, including loss of anticipated pension amounts, delays caused by third-party authorities, or reliance on information from external sources.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Malaysian consumer protection legislation.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with written notice to the other. If you choose to terminate after work has commenced, fees for work completed to that point are non-refundable. We will provide you with a summary of work completed and any findings to date.
We may terminate an engagement without notice if we determine that we are unable to continue due to a conflict of interest, material misrepresentation of facts by the client, or circumstances that make continued engagement inappropriate.
Provisions relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, and limitation of liability survive the termination of any engagement.
11. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Selangor, Malaysia.
Before initiating any formal process, we encourage clients to contact us directly to seek a resolution. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and fairly. Most matters are resolved through direct communication without the need for formal proceedings.
Where a formal dispute cannot be resolved directly, parties may consider mediation through an appropriate body under the Mediation Act 2012 (Malaysia) before resorting to litigation.
12. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the engagement letter for any specific engagement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Amanah Veteran regarding the subject matter herein, and supersede all prior discussions and representations.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on a particular occasion does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it on any subsequent occasion.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our obligations to a successor entity in the event of a business restructuring, provided that your rights are not materially affected.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted to this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Website or continuation of an existing engagement following any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
