Why Families Turn to Amanah Veteran

Our practice is built around the specific demands of pension matters for those who have given long years to national service. The concerns of a retiring colonel differ considerably from those of a civilian professional, and our advisors understand that distinction at a practitioner level.

Deep Familiarity with LTAT Regulations

Our advisors have studied Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera rules, entitlement schedules, and pension calculation methods in detail. This knowledge is applied immediately to each client's file.

Impartial, Written Advice

Every advisory engagement concludes with a written file that belongs to the client. Nothing is left to memory or oral assurance. The written record can be used in any subsequent dealings with pension authorities.

No Rush — Service at Your Pace

Pension matters are rarely simple and are often emotionally significant. We structure our meetings to allow time for questions, reflection, and the full sharing of service history without time pressure.

Support for Surviving Families

When the principal pensioner has passed, their family should not face bureaucratic uncertainty alone. We extend our counsel to spouses and dependent children with the same care and unhurried approach.

Thorough Arrears Investigation

We do not accept pension calculations at face value. Our cross-referencing process examines contribution records, service classifications, and applicable rates to surface discrepancies that may have gone unnoticed for years.

Transparent, Stated Fees

Our service fees are stated clearly before any engagement begins. There are no hidden disbursements, no open-ended retainers, and no billing surprises. The agreed fee is the complete fee for the scope described.

Is Your Pension Being Calculated Correctly?

Many retired service members in Malaysia find that their pension entitlements were not fully reflected in their payments. A careful review often reveals matters that can be formally addressed. We are here to help you understand where you stand.

Common Questions

Questions that often arise during an initial consultation. We are always willing to address additional concerns in person.

Who qualifies for your advisory services? +
Our advisory services are available to retired members of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), and civil security agencies, as well as to their surviving spouses and dependent children. We work with individuals at any point after retirement, regardless of how many years have passed since leaving service.
How does the pension calculation review work? +
We begin by gathering your service records, contribution statements, and the pension award letter issued to you at retirement. Our advisor then cross-references these documents against the applicable pension regulations and rates for your service branch, rank, and years of service. Where a discrepancy is identified, we prepare a formal claim for submission to the relevant authority. Where the calculation is found to be correct, we provide a written explanation of our findings.
How long does an arrears recovery engagement typically take? +
Most pension calculation and arrears recovery engagements take between two and five months from the initial document gathering to either the receipt of recovered amounts or our final written report. The timeline depends largely on the complexity of the service history and the responsiveness of the relevant pension authority.
What if my spouse has passed and I need to continue receiving benefits? +
Our Family Pension Continuation service is designed specifically for this situation. We handle the nominations paperwork, liaise directly with the pension authority on your behalf, and explain each procedural step in plain language. We take direction from the family regarding the pace of communication and understand that this process is often emotionally demanding.
Are your fees charged regardless of the outcome? +
Yes. Our fees cover the advisory work itself — the investigation, the analysis, the correspondence, and the written report — not the outcome. This approach keeps our advice impartial. We present our findings honestly whether or not they favour a recovery claim, because our duty is to give you an accurate picture of your entitlement position.
Do I need to visit your office in Shah Alam? +
An initial meeting at our Shah Alam office is preferred, as it allows us to review physical documents with you and gives the engagement a proper foundation. For clients who live outside the Klang Valley, we can arrange video consultations for subsequent meetings once the initial document review has taken place. Please contact us to discuss arrangements that work for your circumstances.
